The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed concerning the significant number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The provider position developed for intervention encounters a higher inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it hard to the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will here mobilise more means to empower the servicing of all buyers and improve usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
